Skirt
Datelate 19th-early 20th century
Label TextIntricate designs are woven into this homegrown silk skirt from a region with a distinctive way of using stripes. River dragons-helpful guardians-and geese are just two auspicious symbols that appear as abstracted patterns. Their images are almost indiscernible as they blend into a maze of connecting hooks and small diamonds.
