Wolf Von Dem Bussche

American, 1934 - 2014

Prior to their devastation, Wolf Van Dem Bussche obsessively photographed the World Trade Center Towers in New York City at different times of the day, and under varying weather conditions. Initially, he approached the towers as images for formalist treatment. Since the destruction of the towers on 9/11, one can't help but see an ominous and brooding mood seep into these images.
