Preaching Buddha

Label TextThe monumental size, fine quality, and rarity make this painting one of the masterpieces of Korean Buddhist paintings in the U.S. Seated on a lotus pedestal, the Shakyamuni Buddha is preaching the Lotus Sutra on Vulture Peak. He is surrounded by bodhisattvas, guardians, and his disciples.
