Moose

1968

Mel Ramos

American, 1935 - 2018

Given Ramos' fascination with pin-up imagery and commercial images, this moose may be more than a colorful reinterpretation of the animal in the wild. In pin-up conventions at the time, wild or exotic animals were often stand-ins for a male character.
