Seated Damo

Label TextDamo, also known as Bodhidharma, was allegedly a south Indian Buddhist monk who preached Buddhism in China in the early 16th century. The Damo is typically represented as a seated figure, probably referencing the legend of his nine-year meditation in a cave.
