Label TextThe large, footed salver, pictured on the previous page, features alternating shell and scroll border of the rococo period. The son of a silversmith (Francis), Joseph Sr. and his two sons carried on the shop from the late baroque period in the colonies, through the rococo, and end-of-the-century neoclassical designs.
