Kaminari to Yakko (Thunder God Standing on Black Cloud)

Label TextRaijin, the god of thunder, descends on a black cloud as a man shields himself below. This depiction of Raijin as a demon with horns wearing a tiger-skin loincloth who beats taiko drums is in keeping with contemporaneous images of the folk deity seen in painting and sculpture.
