Mounted warrior

387-535

The riders wear heavy cloaks, but their horses are clad in heavy scale-armor. The men have pug noses and frowning brows, a typical facial type of warrior figures. The helmet with vertical slats on one of these figures was usually worn by archers. A tomb might be equipped with various types of burial figures: shield bearers, spearmen, swordsmen, servants, dancers, and musicians.
