Mingqi (human figure)

Label TextAlthough not as elegant or refined as their glazed or painted counterparts from the central plains region, the Eastern Han pottery mingqi, of Sichuan, has a vitality and expressive force unparalleled in any other regional style. This contorted figure is an excellent example of the distinctive appearance.
