Bojagi (wrapping cloth)

Bojagi (wrapping cloth)

20th century

Prisms of transparent dark blue fragments of cloth are seen in this large bojagi that probably once wrapped bedding or clothing. The transparent fabric structures of Do Ho Suh borrow some of the aesthetic principles of this traditional Korean textile.
