Window box

Window box

ca. 1910

Known as the "Tourist" pattern and featuring a Model-T Ford, the hand-painted scenes on the box required intensive labor and skill to produce. Very little of this Roseville production has survived because the embellishments were applied over the top of the glaze and not fired in kilns, thus the scenes are susceptible to fading and water deterioration.
