Label TextDeep blue, piercing turquoise and vibrant red meet on the surface of this tile to form abstract patterns inspired by nature. While these colors are not unique in Islamic art, when used in this style of decoration they point to the great ceramics workshops of Iznik, in northwestern Turkey.
