Kiss

1966

Andy Warhol

American, 1928 - 1987

This multiple is an enlargement of a strip from Warhol's 1963 black-and-white silent movie Kiss. Running for 58 minutes, the film is a series of close-ups of different people kissing. Warhol took the sequence that is often a climactic moment in conventional Hollywood narative and made it the only content of the movie. The 'stars' of this kiss are Naomi Levine and Rufus Collins.
