Vase

1906

This rose-decorated vase is an excellent example of American Art Nouveau design. Originating in France and Belgium, and internationally popular from about 1890 to 1910, the style emulated the sinuous curves and organic forms of plants and flowers. Featuring light, matte grounds with the decorations etched in outline and filled with soft colors, this vase is an early production.
