Native American, Acoma Pueblo, 1989 - 1992

This great artist was one of the "matriarchs" of Pueblo pottery and was renowned for her thin-walled vessels with exquisite fineline painting. Lewis came to demonstrate pottery at the Seattle Art Museum with her daughter Delores in the early 1980s.
