Brick Breast Bottle

Date1971
Maker Ken Cory American, 1943 - 1994
Label TextKen Cory studied ceramics in Oakland in the 1960s before returning to Eastern Washington and continuing to work in jewelry as a medium. In his jewelry, as in his earlier ceramics, he played irreverently with his use of materials, often using found objects and defying expected assignations of value around jewelry and art. Describing his jewelry as “small portable sculptures,” he said that “the pieces are functional only to the extent that they are not heavy to wear.”
