Poem 69-53

Poem 69-53

20th century

Maki Haku

Japanese, 1924 - 2000

Poem 69-53 transforms the character for rain into an elegant, fluid image with a yellow tear-drop accent. With this work, Maki draws out the expressive potential of a single character, which then becomes a vehicle for artistic experimentation.
