Guanyin

Dehua ware is fondly known as blanc de chine in the West for its impeccable whiteness and smoothness. The Dehua potter was able to capitalize on this special quality of the local clay and glaze to render an even more graceful Guanyin, thus enhancing the goddess' compassionate love for all fellow human beings.
