Okitsu

Date1928
Maker Yoshida Hiroshi Japanese, 1876 - 1950
Label TextThis view of Mount Fuji is from Okitsu beach, southeast of the Tokyo Bay. The purple hue indicates the time of the day: perhaps near dusk. The reflection on the water creates the impression that the mountain is nearby, but in fact it is more than 100 miles away.
