Yuken Teruya

Japanese (works in U.S.), born 1973

In the series "Notice Forest", Japanese artist Yuken Teruya created a variety of sculptural works using various types of paper bags, including McDonald's Happy Meal bags. This particular work shows the artist's innovative use of the text on the bag, which becomes a design element on the interior tree, suggesting the changing leaves of autumn.
