Good Afternoon! Pansies

Dateca. early 1970's
Label TextOda Mayumi is largely celebrated for her extensive representations of the female figure and goddess imagery. Her composition and simple outlines depicting the female body have often been compared to Henri Matisse’s work. Oda’s training in traditional Japanese fabric dying has been a major influence on the color and decorative patterns in her works. This print, acquired by the donors from Frances Blakemore’s Tokyo gallery, is a beautiful representation of the artist’s works and influences.
