Untitled (scroll)
1996
A MacArthur Fellowship Award winner, Sarah Sze is known for her site-specific sculptures that use a variety of humble materials to create elaborate, three-dimensional fantasies. Untitled (scroll) is an early work, made during her graduate days at the School for Visual Arts in New York, and shows her initial grounding and interest in Asian scroll painting traditions.
