The nostalgia of the Polaroid photograph and its magical before-your-eyes processing is captured in Fujimoto's dreamy snapshots. The subject-a young woman in a white-collared blouse surveying the scene, an elderly couple laying down a picnic blanket, families enjoying the fine weather-is innocuous, but the oblique angles and unusual perspective hint at something unsettling.
