Label Text"I constantly relate my drawing and my two-dimensional skill of engraving and chasing to three-dimensional form….The drawing is a point of departure, but a craftsman should always listen to the metal as he works it. I am fascinated by what can happen to a surface that brings out another aspect of drawing. Lines, whether they’re put down with a pencil, a chasing tool or an engraving tool, play with the eye and allow the eye to dart in and out.
