Jar
5th century
Modestly sized, lugged jars like this one and the one next to it—with surfaces adorned only by a scattering of natural ash glaze on the neck and shoulders—are consistent with jars excavated around the cities of Gimhae and Busan. They are thought to date to the late 4th century, when this area was the center of power of Geumgwan Gaya, the leading state of the Gaya Confederacy.
