Label TextThis monumental work was created shortly after the artist recovered from cancer, which made him realize the fleeting nature of life. The shining moon illumines the cloudy sky and endless sea, the waves of which gently wash ashore. The inscription, Wishing Each other Longevity, reminds the viewer to appreciate nature's beauty, however simple it may appear.
