No Title (Vavoom in the)
1991
Appearing frequently in Raymond Pettibon’s drawings, Vavoom is a character from the 1960s cartoon Felix the Cat whose existential cry—“Vavoom!”—had the power to topple mountains and get Felix out of tight spots. Here, his scream is not met with a dramatic action but echoed instead by the voices of Felix and his adversary, the Professor, who banter about Latin oration.
