Andy Wilbur Peterson

Native American, Skokomish, born 1955

Since the 1960s, Northwest Coast Native artists have used the printmaking medium to explore ideas and designs beyond those possible in carving, painting and weaving. Graphic works have been a vehicle to both discover traditional design and to push against its constraints.
