Woman's garment

20th century

Personal preferences are kept to a minimum in aprons created and worn by Akamba women. Colors are kept to a white, orange and blue sequence with geometric patterns. Some patterns are known to represent mountains, stools, and other features but the exact reading of these skirts is not known. Imported chain adds a flare of movement to the bottom of many aprons.
