Ichiro Hori

Japanese, born 1952

This work was created by using a wood-firing technique that uses long, low-heat firings to produce the clay’s reddish tone through the thick glaze. The cracked surface, with its interesting abstracted patterns, is the result of combined firing techniques and hand sculpting.
