Walking Through My Fires
November 1992
Francis Dick
First Nations, Kwakwaka'wakw, Dzwada'enuxw, born 1959
One of only a handful of women artists fully engaged with printmaking, Dick describes the personal and spiritual nature of her imagery this way: “Before anything else my work is about honoring my life process, my journey, through my fires, from places of pain and darkness to places that I might stand in my truth; my work is not a career, it is a way of life.”
