Label TextDescended from an esteemed family of traditionalists and artists, Calvin Hunt continues this legacy as a visual artist, ceremonialist, and owner of the Copper Maker Gallery in Fort Rupert (Tsaxis), British Columbia. The great blue heron (Ardea herodias), a year-round resident of the Pacific Northwest, is stately but also quick to strike its prey. Here, Hunt captures its long neck, body, and blue-grey plumage using elegant formlines.
