Maker John Feodorov Diné, born 1960
Label Text“The series responds to ongoing environmental threats to traditional Diné lands and communities (including toxic pollution caused from uranium mining, coal burning, and fracking), as well as the exploitation and pollution of indigenous land around the world.” — John Feodorov Desecration #2 is from the artist’s Desecration series, in which the artist commissions Diné wool rugs and draws on them with acrylic paint, graphite, and conté crayon.
