Pale Yellow
Date1964-65
Label TextBaer's signature style of this period was to make paintings with no internal hierarchy, no ambiguity, no space, and no illusion. The large white area is balanced with the thinner black band and even thinner yellow stripe so that no one element dominates, and the traditional perception of a painting as a window onto a deeper dimension is averted.
