Modern Sculpture with Apertures
Date1967
Label TextAfter gaining notoriety with his comic-strip works, Lichtenstein added art deco to his repertory of things to "treat." The twenties and thirties were enjoying a cult revival at the time. Lichtenstein clearly has an eye for the period look of old movie houses and streamlined appliances.
