Cloth

Cloth

mid-20th century

What looks like a repetitive pattern is full of subtle variations. Short and long bursts of striped color alternate. Vertical red stripes are derived from solid warp threads, while the white, blue and brown have been tie-dyed before the weaving begins. Each type of stripe has a different pulse, but they all resonate together.
