Left Chamber rubbing

Dateca. 1920s
Label TextThe Left Chamber's east wall includes a popular image of the First Emperor attempting to recover the lost nine tripods, an ancient symbol of sovereignty. It remains an open question to whom the Left Chamber was dedicated; past proposals have included Wu Liang's younger brother Wu Kaiming or Kaiming's elder son Wu Ban, who died at a young age.
