Figure for Esu

Label TextThis small statue was tied around the wrist of a disciple of Esu, the mischievous and unpredictable deity who constantly reverses the fortunes of men. The devotee would dance with this figure while collecting coins. Giving a coin could encourage Esu to ease one's difficulties, but if nothing was offered, he could create havoc and confusion.
