Poems of the Four Seasons (hangul script)

The hangul syllabary was created in the 15th century as an alternative to Chinese characters when writing the Korean language. Each syllabic block is composed of at least two of the twenty-four hangul characters. Lauded for its logic and legibility, hangul, with its efficient combinations of circles and lines, is an ideal vehicle for artistic expression. This artist uses precise and springy characters to record Korean poems of the four seasons, her disciplined character revealed in the even, controlled nature of the script.
