Lu Qian Presents a Sword

Label TextNoted for his large-scale and narrative compositions, Huang Shen depicts an event in the life of Wang Xiang (185-269), when Lu Qian, Governor of Xu, presented him with a sword and asked him to be his successor. Wang Xiang accepted the commission, which led to a very high-ranking position and distinguished career.
