Label TextIn a radical change from the rococo style, ca. 1760–80, the oval-shaped body, architectural fluting, and straight spout of this teapot are elements of the early classical style, ca. 1780–1815, favored after the Revolutionary War. The surface decoration of garlands and tassels is created with the bright-cut technique that removes silver to create a faceted, light-reflecting design.
