Label TextThe 1763 estate inventory of Count von Brühl, director of the Meissen porcelain manufactory, listed sixty-seven miniature porcelain buildings. Charming farmhouses, barns, peasants’ sheds, and churches were illuminated from within by candles and presented at elegant dinners as table decoration during the dessert course.
