Ken Price

American, 1935 - 2012

Kenneth Price was born in Los Angeles in 1935. In 1956, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California, attended life drawing and water color classes at Chouniard Art Insitutte
and Los Angeles City College, and studied with Peter Voulkos at Otis Art Institute. In 1959, Price was awarded a Master of FIne Arts degree from State University of New York at Alfred. He lived in California, New York, London, New Mexico, Massachusetts and traveled extensively in Japan.
Price had solo exhibitions at Ferus Gallery, Los Angeles, (1960, 1961, 1964); Kasmin Gallery, London, (1968, 1970), Mizuno Gallery, Los Angeles (1969, 1971) Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, (1969); Nicholas Wilder Gallery, Los Angeles, (1973)...
