Died Seattle, March 30, 1915

Educated at St. Mary's Academy, South Bend, Indiana
Studied art at San Francisco School of Design, receiving gold medals in drawing and in painting
Married Herbert Foote Beecher, son of Henry Ward Beecher and nephew of Harriet Beecher Stowe, in Seattle, November 30, 1881

According to the artist's entry in "Woman's Who's Who of America . . . 1914-1915," she had "the frist art studio in Seattle and gave the first instruction in drawing and painting there in 1881." See entry in object file.
