Neil J. Sterritt

Neil Sterritt is a Gitskan, a member of the Fireweed Clan of Kispiox, BC. He was one of

the early artists and students at. Kitskan. He went on to found Sterritt Consulting where

is a consultant specializing in a range of aboriginal and indigenous issues in Canada,

Southeast Asia and Australia. He was the leader of the Gitskan Wets'uwet'en Tribal

Council from 81 to 87 and treaty negotiator for Gitskans from 94 to 97. He authored the

First Nations Governance Handbook and has been very active in conferences and on

boards.
