Label TextThe wild goose, symbol of a fourth rank official, is couched with gold threads and outlined with white gold threads—although silver in appearance, these threads are actually white gold, an alloy of gold and at least one white metal, usually nickel, manganese or palladium. Otherwise, if silver, they would appear black from tarnish.
