Label TextOn this lightweight robe with long sleeves, appropriate for a young, unmarried woman, three of whose family crests appear on the shoulders, carp swim in the swirling waters of a cascade in a landscape consisting of pine trees, bamboo, and plum blossoms. This trio of motifs is known as the “Three Friends of Winter,” an auspicious design that lends both symbolic meaning and aseasonal coolness to this hot-weather garment.
