Label TextThe blue-yellow color scheme was designed for imperial use, as seen on other royal luxuries as well. The blue was painted under a transparent glaze, while the yellow was applied over the glaze, entailing a second firing. The two colors would frequently alternate in forming the primary patterns and the background color.
