Label TextThe perceived heroics of American mid-century painting are offered up for reappraisal in the work of Kilimnik, who has also made feminist reinterpretations of post-minimalist sculpture in previous works. Here, she dispenses with grand scale and content for a pre-pubescent frame of reference, both in the humble size of the work and in its deliberately naïve imagery.
