Maker Aki Fujimoto Japanese
Label TextFujimoto was one of ten young female artists chosen by starmaker Takashi Murakami for his "Tokyo Girls Bravo" exhibitions in 1999 and again in 2004. That show explored the ups and downs of "girlhood" in modern-day Tokyo. The only photographer among the participants, her works combine gauzy romance with a suggestion of foreboding.
